About Cissell's & Beyond - PLEASE sign our guest book!

The Cissell's have a Most Exciting & unusual family history. As heirs to the Cecil lineage, theirs is a Royal lineage which has been traced back 1,000's of years!
Members of the Cissell family line (who came forward) were automatically Titled up until 1990. We aren't Titled, since we were unaware of this, but it's still a 'fun fact'. European Titled Lineage has been graciously submitted by Mark Rosenblum dating back to 558 b.c., which is officially approved by the House of Lords. Additional ancestral lineage is from the 'Cambridge Historical Kings of Britain Lineage' dating back to 1400 b.c. Since their genealogy included Peleg, we also traced Peleg's ancestors as provided in the Old Testament of the Bible (just for fun). There are 117 descendant generations from David Brian Cissell... & an additional 2 generations from David to current date.

Most intriguing of all is the Direct Paternal Lineage from David Cissell beyond the Kings of Troy. Since this is a Direct Lineage, father to son (no maternal, cousins, etc.) we have included a separate Paternal List, showing all 117 generations.

The Snider genealogy has proven far more challenging and is an ongoing project. As more family members submit their information, we hope to see many more generations included.

Although David has been working on this project since 1994, as 'a women'... quite sincerely I didn't get it. Since women are raised with the expectation of changing their name, I didn't get the significance of 'the name'. Even more, when we gaze into our perfect childs face, there is the understanding that one day they will no longer 'be our babies'. I was assisting to clean up a list of his family entries on my computer, deleted an entry quite accidentally... and THEN I finally got it. Half of our family disappeared in an instant; As if they never were.

This tree is our daily reminder of Gods Grace. Were 1 moment, 1 address, 1 relationship different yesterday, how would things be today? Would WE even exist today? And, although names can change and children move on, & the world can be lonely & cold... to see all the people we are connected to can be quite assuring sometimes. Most important, as we get a small glimpse of so many lives that passed before us, we're reminded that we will sit with many of them tomorrow.THAT IS GRACE!

~~ OF INTEREST ~~ Be sure to click the "photo tab" above. Lots of xtra's ! Family scoundrels & conspiracies, a burial photo section spanning 1,000 years. Even a gallery of family castles (owned to this date)... & so much more. Each small foto has 3 enlargement sizes, simply click on it (several times) to see the larger versions.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list.
